A water treatment company which has grown by over 20pc over the past year has scooped the top ActionCOACH Business Excellence Award for 2012.
Whitewater, a third-generation company, is lead by Mark Keating and Tim Quinn, who plan to double business over the next three years. The Blackrock, Co Dublin-based firm is also a step closer to its ultimate goal of helping developing countries access clean water.
“We are the leading provider of water treatment solutions to medical facilities here but we were not hitting our full potential until we got Richard Cullen from ActionCOACH in to look at the business. He helped us identify strategies and actions to deliver on our potential.
“We now have a more focused sales and service team that has helped grow our business by over 20 per cent this year alone. We’ve increased our staff by two and plan to double the business within the next three years.
“Our ultimate goal is to be in a position where we can also provide aid and assistance to developing countries – especially in the area of water treatment. That is the legacy we really want to leave behind,” Keating explained.
Whitewater scooped the Best Service Award as well as the overall award at the ActionCOACH Business Awards at the St Helen’s Radisson Blu over the weekend (9th November). The Judging panel included Donal Curtin, Chairman, Chambers Ireland; Vivian Peelo, Business Banking AIB and Catherine Fulvio, celebrity chef, author and business owner of Ballyknocken House and Cookery School
