ActionCOACH Client Awards, November 2011

The winners of the inaugural All Ireland ActionCOACH Business Coaching Awards were announced in Dublin in November. The Awards have been created to recognise the “Best of the Best” in the small to medium sized business sector.

The entries were judged by Marina Bleahen, ActionCOACH MD, Donall Curtin, Chairman, Chambers Ireland, Catherine Fulvio, Ballyknocken House and Cookery School, Lucia O’Riordan, AIB and George Lee, RTE.

There were 102 entries from which 25 businesses were shortlisted from a broad range of sectors. Of note each business has expanded in some way during the last year, either by increasing the number of employees or turnover.

The resounding feeling on the night was one of positivity “It’s so good to be with fellow business owners who are out there making it happen in their businesses, times were very tough and difficult for us in 2009. However, we knew we needed external help and hired Ahmad Rajab, ActionCOACH and buckled down to hard work and have built our water filtration system business in to a very successful operation” says Oliver Ginty, Managing Director EW Technologies, who was the was awarded the top inaugural ActionCOACH Business of the Year Award for 2011.

EW Technologies manufacture water treatment systems and they were selected by the Judging Panel in recognition of coming from serious losses in 2009 to recruiting 8 new team members in Dublin, opening 2 new European Offices in London and Lithuania.

The diversity of the other winning businesses – ranging from Pharmacies to Accountancy Practices, from beauty to hospitality, building providers to foresters Express which came from the four corners of Ireland to celebrate success in Irish businesses in 2011. There were businesses present from most counties, from Galway to Dublin, Belfast to Cork, each business has excelled in their development and financial success under the direction of their ActionCOACH Business Coach.
